Templates Hub

One landing page for the five template kinds — documents, jobs, groups, emails, and text messages.

Templates are everything BranchSite fills in for you — the PDFs you send, the jobs you quote again and again, and the emails and texts that go out on your behalf. The Templates hub (sidebar Setup → Templates, or All Templates in the Settings rail) shows one card per template kind with a live count and a Manage button into its list page.

The five kinds

  • Document Templates — branding, columns, terms, and footer for every proposal, invoice, and work order PDF. Covered in Document templates.
  • Job Templates — pre-built line items, notes, and occurrences that turn a lead into a proposal in one click. Details below.
  • Group Templates — bundles of job templates that create a whole proposal group at once. Details below.
  • Email Templates — subject, recipients, and body for every email BranchSite sends, with live preview. Covered in Email templates.
  • Text Message Templates — short, dynamic-field texts for reminders, on-the-way notices, and follow-ups. Covered in Text messaging.

Job templates

A job template captures every job field except the customer and visit location — so "7-Round PHC Program" or "Storm Cleanup, half day" becomes a one-click starting point. Build one template per service program.

  1. In the hub, click Manage on Job Templates (requires the job-templates permission).
  2. Click + New Job Template.
  3. Work through the builder's sections: Identity, Recurrence, Estimate Editor (the line items), Discount, Invoicing, Tags, Document Settings, and Additional Options.
  4. Save.

The list shows each template's Operation, whether it's Recurring, its Invoice Cadence (Per Visit or Fixed Schedule), Estimate Mode (Per Visit or Contract Total), and item count. Row actions let you Edit, Clone, Archive, Restore, or Delete a template:

  • Archive hides a template from the Use Template modal without touching jobs already created from it; Show archived reveals archived rows so you can restore them.
  • Delete is permanent, and is blocked while jobs or group templates still reference the template — archive instead.

Sales reps apply these when drafting — see Templates for proposals.

Group templates

Group templates bundle several job templates into one preset so multi-service proposals can be created in a single step — a "Full Property Season" that drops mowing, cleanup, and PHC proposals into one proposal group at once.

From Group Templates, click + New Group Template, name it, and use + Add job templates to pick and order the member templates. A group template can also carry an Operation override, a Default sales rep, internal/client-facing/crew notes, and tags. Archive and delete behave the same as job templates.
