Tags
Create the color-coded labels you use to categorize and filter clients.
Tags are color-coded labels you attach to clients — "VIP", "HOA", "Do not text", "Prepaid" — and then filter by on the Clients list. They're free-form where Customer Types are structured: use types for what a client is and tags for whatever else you need to slice on. Managing the tag list requires the settings-management permission.
Manage the tag list
- Open Settings, and pick Tags in the rail's Account group (it's also in the sidebar's Setup group).
- The page lists every tag with its usage count. Toggle the View between Chips (a colorful at-a-glance wall) and Table (with Usage, Description, and Actions columns).
- Use the filter box and the sort options — Name (A–Z) or Most used — to find a tag in a long list.
Add or edit a tag
- Click Add Tag (or Edit on an existing one).
- Fill in:
- Name — keep it short; this is what renders as a chip.
- Color — the chip color.
- Description — internal only, explaining what the tag is for. It is never shown to clients.
- Click Save.
Agree as a team on what each tag means and write it in the description — tags only pay off when everyone applies them the same way.
Delete a tag
Click Delete on a tag and confirm. The dialog tells you how many clients currently carry the tag; deleting removes it from all of them, and it can't be undone. If a tag has history you want to keep, consider renaming or repurposing it instead of deleting.
Where tags are used
- Clients — apply tags on the client record and filter the Clients list by them. See Customer types and tags.
- Job templates and group templates — a template can carry tags, so work stamped out from it is labeled from the start. See Templates hub.
