Settings Overview
A map of the Settings area — its three navigation groups, the search box, and which pages need which permissions.
Open Settings from the sidebar's Setup group and you land on Company Info, with a navigation rail on the left listing every settings page you have access to. The rail has three groups — Setup, Templates, and Account — plus a Search settings box at the top that jumps straight to any individual setting by name.
The Setup group
The core configuration pages, in rail order:
- Company Info — identity, branding, contact details, and document defaults. See Company information.
- Roles & Permissions — the role matrix and per-role adjustments. See Roles and permissions.
- Jobs — job-creation defaults and proposal behavior. See Job and schedule settings.
- Features — account-wide feature toggles (Customer Portal, Timesheets & Labor, Custom Inputs, Tree Inventory, and more).
- Open Invoices — whether not-yet-due recurring invoices are hidden from A/R until they come due.
- Schedule — calendar and scheduling defaults.
- Culture — your company vision, goals, core values, and strategy, shown on the dashboard.
- Emails — who is copied on outgoing emails, and who is notified when customers accept proposals or pay invoices.
- SMS Onboarding — text-messaging setup.
- Vendors — the vendor list used by purchasing.
- Labor — labor resources, loaded rate formulas, and labor schedules.
- Tasks — task behavior settings.
- Routing — Route Planner configuration.
- Email Blacklist — addresses that must never be emailed.
- Automated Messaging — triggered messages and actions.
- QuickBooks — the accounting connection.
- Payment Gateway, Payment Methods, Payment Terms, Financing — everything about getting paid.
- Sales Tax — tax components and tax locations.
- API Keys — keys for integrations.
The Templates group
- All Templates — the hub landing page. See Templates hub.
- Document Templates, Job Templates, Group Templates, Email Templates, Text Message Templates — one list page per template kind.
The Account group
- Account — the account's own name and logo, and the danger zone (delete team).
- Profile — your personal profile.
- Tags — the client tag list. See Tags.
Who sees what
The rail only shows pages your role can use. Roles & Permissions requires role management; Payment Methods requires payment management; and Tags, Vendors, Sales Tax, Automated Messaging, QuickBooks, Payment Terms, Financing, and API Keys all require the settings-management permission. Everything else is visible to any member, though individual pages still enforce their own edit rights.
Settings outside the Settings rail
A few configuration pages sit directly in the sidebar's Setup group rather than inside Settings: Members (see Invite members), Operations (see Operations), Items, Custom Inputs (which opens inside Settings — see Custom inputs), Tags, Manage Timesheets, and Billing.
Note: Settings forms guard your unsaved work. If you edit a form and click away to another settings page, BranchSite asks before discarding the changes.
