The Lead & Proposal Pipeline

How the stage tabs on the Jobs page organize your sales funnel, from first inquiry to won work.

BranchSite tracks every piece of work as a job that moves through stages. The Jobs page shows those stages as tabs, so the same page serves as your sales pipeline (leads and proposals) and your production board (active, completed, and approved work).

The stage tabs

  • Leads — inquiries you've captured but not yet priced. A lead has a client and a scope note; line items are optional.
  • Proposals — priced quotes. A proposal carries line items, discounts, and deposit terms, and can be sent to the client for acceptance.
  • Active — won work. A job lands here when its proposal is accepted (online or marked accepted internally), and its visits can be scheduled.
  • Completed — work the crew has finished, awaiting review.
  • Approved — reviewed jobs that are your invoice-ready record.
  • Rejected — lost leads and proposals, kept with their rejection reasons.

Moving forward through the funnel:

  1. On a lead, choose Promote to proposal from the job's actions menu, then add pricing.
  2. On a proposal, either send it for online acceptance or choose Mark accepted once the customer approves outside the platform. Either way the job moves to Active.

If a job advanced by mistake, Reopen restores it to its prior stage based on its history.

Chips and flags

Two chips can appear on a job in any stage:

  • On hold — the job is paused. Held jobs stay visible to everyone but skip operational scheduling. Use Put on hold… with a brief reason (for example, awaiting customer payment), and Take off hold to resume.
  • Stale — a lead that hasn't been promoted within 30 days. Use the Show stale only filter to triage the backlog.

Jobs can also be archived to remove them from active queues without deleting their history — archiving an in-flight job requires a reason for the audit log.

Working the list

The Jobs page gives you tools to slice the pipeline:

  • Search by job name, number, or client.
  • Filters — narrow by Operation, Sales rep, Tag, Customer type, Assignees, Line item, Item group, Reject reason, or Job End date, plus toggles for Unassigned, Show on-hold only, Show stale only, and Show archived. Filters compose with the active stage tab.
  • Columns — choose and reorder visible columns (including Estimate, Requires Deposit?, Prepaid?, and more), and optionally save your layout as the default for all users.
  • Sort by recently updated, job number, or estimate total.
  • Export CSV to take the current view elsewhere.

A Jobs | Visits toggle switches the page between job rows and individual visit rows.

Rejection

Rejecting a lead or proposal records why you lost it. Choose Reject…, pick a Reason (Lost to competitor, Pricing, Scope changed, Schedule misalignment, Customer unresponsive, Customer changed mind, Customer unsatisfied, Internal decision, or Other), and add optional detail. Rejected jobs stay on the Rejected tab with their reasons, which feed your sales-lost reporting — so reject rather than delete.
