Install BranchSite on Your Phone
Add BranchSite to your Home Screen on iPhone and Android, and turn on notifications for finished uploads and ready analyses.
BranchSite runs in the browser, but crews should install it. Installed, it opens full-screen with no address bar, keeps its place between stops, and is the only way an iPhone can receive notifications.
You will see an Install BranchSite on this phone card on My Day and on the tree map. Follow it, or use the steps below.
iPhone and iPad
Installing requires Safari — Chrome and Firefox on iOS cannot add to the Home Screen.
- Open BranchSite in Safari and sign in.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow) in the toolbar.
- Scroll and choose Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
BranchSite is now on the Home Screen. Open it from there, not from Safari.
Android
- Open BranchSite in Chrome and sign in.
- Tap Install on the card, if it is offered.
- If there is no button, open the browser menu (⋮) and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Confirm.
Turning on notifications
Once installed, tap Notify me when uploads finish on the install card, or Notify me on the capture screen, and allow notifications when the phone asks.
BranchSite sends exactly two kinds, and only ever to you:
- Captures uploaded — a queue you left a property with has finished going up.
- Analysis ready — photo analysis has finished a batch and there are trees waiting for you to confirm.
Tapping one opens BranchSite where you left off.
iPhone only receives notifications when BranchSite is installed. In a Safari tab there is no option to turn them on — that is an Apple restriction, not a setting. Install first.
To turn them off, tap the same switch again. You can also block BranchSite's notifications in your phone's own settings; if you do, the switch stops being offered, because tapping it could no longer ask you again.
Updating
An installed BranchSite updates itself. When a new version is ready you will see a Refresh to update prompt — tap it when you are between trees, never mid-capture. Nothing queued is lost either way.
