Calendar Overview

Tour the Calendar page: views, filters, search, the unscheduled drawer, and the color key.

The Calendar page shows every scheduled Visit (billable work on a job) and Task (a non-billable to-do such as an on-site estimate) in one place. Use it to see the week ahead, spot gaps, and drag work around as plans change.

Views

Use the view toggle at the top of the page to switch between:

  • Month — a full-month grid. Each day shows compact chips; overflowing days collapse extra chips behind a count.
  • Week — seven day columns with time slots, so you can see start and end times.
  • Day — a single day, in the most detail.

Use the arrows to step backward and forward, Today to jump back to the current date, and the date itself to open a date picker.

Production, Sales, and Crew views

If Enable separate Production and Sales Calendars is turned on in the Schedule settings, additional views appear: Production, Sales Calendar, and Crew Calendar, each with a Day and Week layout. These are resource views — one row per team member (filtered by role for the Sales and Crew views), plus a sticky Unassigned row for work nobody owns yet. Dragging a chip onto a member's row schedules it and makes that person the primary assignee.

Search and filters

The search box (Search Visits and Tasks…) narrows the calendar to matching events. The Filters control opens a panel where you can filter by:

  • Event type — Visits, Tasks, or Both
  • Operation and Item subcategory
  • Tag and Client Tags
  • Assignee

Under Display options you can also toggle Show cancelled & rejected visits, Show held jobs, Show archived, Series only (only visits that belong to a recurring series), and Include PO Tasks (tasks linked to purchase orders). Clear filters resets everything.

The unscheduled drawer

Above the grid, two collapsible sections hold work that isn't pinned to a date yet:

  • Unscheduled — visits and tasks with no date at all.
  • TBD for [month] — visits promised for a month but not yet a specific day.

Drag a chip from either section onto a day to schedule it, or drag a scheduled chip back into the drawer to unschedule it. The drawer can also display as a full table with sortable columns (job, client, city, ZIP, invoice total, last visit date, and more) — use Columns to choose which show, and Save for All Users to make that layout the account default.

Color key

Click Legend to expand the color key. Chips carry a colored stage strip that reflects where the job sits in its pipeline: Lead (red), Proposal (purple), Proposal Group (steel blue), Unscheduled (orange), Scheduled (green), Recurring (dark maroon), Completed (blue), Approved/Closed (slate), Cancelled and Rejected (grays). The legend also decodes chip markers: recurring visits, paused series, held jobs, manually edited visits, on-demand pulled visits, customer pickups, on-site estimate tasks, and completed or cancelled work.

Totals banner

If Additional information on Visits is set to Total Price or Estimated Labor in the Schedule settings, a Weekly Total (or Daily/Monthly, matching the view) banner sums the revenue or estimated labor hours for everything scheduled in the current window.

Header tools

Depending on your permissions and plan, the calendar header also offers:

  • Generate Visits — pull visits from on-demand recurring contracts. See Recurring visits.
  • Batch reschedule — move many visits and tasks at once. See Batch reschedule.
  • Email / Print — send or print a text schedule of the current view. Choose recipients, a subject, whether to include billable amounts and logged hours, and optionally attach the work order or proposal PDF for jobs in the view.
  • Google Calendar — generate a personal, read-only feed URL of your assigned visits and tasks (next 30 days) to subscribe from Google Calendar. The feed is one-way; changes in Google Calendar never affect BranchSite.
  • Add — create a New Visit or New Task. See Schedule visits and tasks.
  • The settings (gear) icon — opens the Schedule settings page, where admins set the Default visit length (minutes), Default task length (minutes), the day's start and end times, the Default calendar view, work-week days, the visit-info banner, and the separate Production/Sales calendar toggle.
